Beto’s Story

Transcript:

Hello, everyone. My name is Beto. I'm 40 years old, since I was 23 I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. So this fact in my life actually drove my purpose to work within mental health.

Nowadays, I'm working as an impact venture and ecosystem builder here in Brazil.

So being part of global Mental health Action Network has been an amazing experience and amazing opportunity to connect within other institutions throughout the world. I mean, we already collaborated on projects within the UNICEF within HPGI and not to be without the Karolinska Institute that we are currently running a research here in Brazil.

So my purpose is very much aligned within the global Mental Action Network, which is combining different expertise and knowledges and see how through innovation and through co-creation, we can drive mental health to the state that we need to achieve.I mean, providing more access incorporating responsible innovation and combining efforts to really make the difference.

So it's a pleasure to be here and I hope to connect even further within this network.

Thank you.
