Margianta’s Story

Transcript:

Hi, I'm Margianta, and I'm from Emancipate, Indonesia.

What made me passionate about mental health is actually learning how intersectional it is and actually how it plays a part in social determinants in health in order to add to the wellbeing of young workers, which I'm fighting for in my foundation, Emancipate, Indonesia.

By joining Global Mental Health Action Network, it has allowed me to access cross sectorial, cross generational wealth of resources and lessons which I encourage for everyone to also join. My message for all stakeholders in global health, especially in mental health and well being, is actually to make the health system with mental health and well being more accessible, more accountable, and last but not least, with great representation, especially from people who look like me, who come from countries like me and regions like me in Southeast Asia and Indonesia and beyond in low middle income countries, we need to have our voices be more represented.
